We proudly represent Regupol Acoustics, a world leader in acoustics and vibration control. Their line of sustainably manufactured flooring underlayments provides highly effective sound insulation for both new construction and renovation projects. These high-performance underlayments are engineered to reduce impact noise under a wide variety of resilient and hard surface floor coverings, resulting in quieter spaces in multi-family/multi-story residential and commercial applications.
Regupol’s Sonus and Sonus Curve product lines are the preferred choice for impact sound control among acoustic consultants, project engineers, multi-family residential developers, architects, and property management corporations around the world. Long-term performance and quality together with lab, field-tested and proven sound-dampening results drive this preference. In addition to these proven results, Regupol’s deep commitment to sustainability is a very attractive value. Made from recycled rubber, the products are GreenCircle certified and can qualify for up to 8 LEED points.
With all sound attenuation mats, the Impact Isolation Class (IIC) and the Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings are based on the complete floor-ceiling assembly. These ratings will fluctuate depending on the other components of your assembly. A great rating to reference for determining how much improvement the underlayment alone contributes to the impact noise reduction is the Delta Impact Isolation Class (ΔIIC).
Regupol has made it easy to anticipate acoustic results with their extensive library of acoustical test reports, available through their easy-to-use drop-down menu on their assembly specifier: https://www.regupol.us/acoustics/acoustical-test-reports/.
SONUS acoustic underlayment is a sustainable green product made from 100% post consumer and post-industrial waste. Made from recycled tires, the result is that 150 million tons of tires are kept out of landfills each year.
These sound deadening underlay products are GreenCircle certified and buildings can potentially qualify for up to 8 LEED points. If your project is seeking LEED certification, REGUPOL products can help a building earn points in many LEED certification categories.
