Noise and vibration control online learning series

Four webinars deliver 4 different opportunities to boost your knowledge about noise and vibration control in the built environment.

All courses are approved for 1 Core Learning Unit with the Architectural Institute of BC and 1 Structured Learning hour with The Alberta Association of Architects. Webinars are free, each offered twice and all are 1 hour long plus time for questions after. All times in PST. Ask about private, single firm sessions — available upon request.

WEBINAR TOPICS:

1. Noise Control Solutions for Multi-Family Residential Applications
2. Sound Masking for an Optimal Office Environment
3. Vibration Isolation of Mechanical and Electrical Systems

WEBINAR DESCRIPTIONS & REGISTRATION:

WEBINAR 1:

Noise Control Solutions for Multi-Family Residential Applications
This course reviews the dynamics of sound, how sounds travel through buildings, and the architectural techniques used to control airborne, structure-borne and flanking noise transmission in multi-family buildings. Demand has increased for noise control in multi-family construction, driven by consumer demands and stricter enforcement of existing codes. Residential noise control is a key component of design because is affects occupant privacy and well-being.
